Here are some top secret insights to my game day ritual. For me, nothing is left until game day. I am a planner and I like to ensure there is nothing in my power that is left up to chance. As a goalie, mental focus is a huge part of my game, to fill that with questions like "What do I feel like eating for breakfast?" or "What time do I need to leave the house at?" is not an option. So, I plan ahead and make myself an itinerary to ensure my brain is game day ready!

On game day, it's game time.

I grew up on a farm just outside the small town of Bruderheim, Alberta. I am the second youngest of 5 siblings. My whole family shares a love for the sport I get to call my passion and career. I am grateful for my roots and how I have grown as an individual as well as professionally. I feel like I had a unique balance between my dreams and reality and was able to recognize my goals at a young age. By doing so with the support of my friends and family I continued to work towards my goals year after year, progress would come as well as challenges, but it was my roots that kept me on the path that lead me here today.

Favourite sport to play other than hockey? Pickleball

• There is no NHL goalie which uses #38.  My brother Bronson wore #38 when he played for the Vancouver Giants (WHL) and I liked the number.  In minor hockey usually the numbers for goalies were 1, 30, 31 or 35.  I love #38, it fills a goalie jersey well and has great visual balance.  I began wearing #38 full time when I joined the Harvard Crimson in 2012. 
• I hold the Harvard Crimson’s Career Saves at 2538 saves and in my Senior year my save % was .938 .. Hmmm I see a common number here!

Giving back to the game that has given me so much is incredibly important to me. I am a proud Director for Hockey Gives Blood and an ambassador for Kidsport.
